Please do not submit sensitive health information through the general contact form.
c. Analytics, Website Performance, and Communication Tools
To monitor and improve our website—and to communicate with clients and subscribers—we use a small number of carefully chosen services that respect user privacy and comply with Canadian and international data protection standards.
We use the following services:
- Matomo (Self-Hosted): Collects anonymous analytics to help us understand how visitors use our site. Matomo respects “Do Not Track” browser settings and does not use third-party cookies.
- Anoatize: Helps us identify usage patterns and detect bot activity.
- Cloudflare & Cloudflare Turnstile: Provide security, performance optimization, and bot protection. These tools may temporarily log IP addresses and browser/device information.
- Brevo (formerly Sendinblue): Used to manage email communications such as newsletters or service updates. If you opt in to receive emails from us, your name and email address will be stored in Brevo’s system.
About Brevo:
Brevo is a secure, GDPR-compliant platform for email communication. All subscriber data is stored securely and is never shared or sold. You may unsubscribe or request permanent deletion of your information at any time by using the unsubscribe link provided in our emails or contacting us directly.
None of these services store or access any sensitive health information submitted through PracticeQ.
Our Privacy Commitment:
- We use Matomo instead of Google Analytics to avoid commercial tracking and better protect your privacy
- We do not sell or share personal or analytics data with advertisers
- We limit retention of personal and usage data and remove or anonymize it when no longer necessary
Retention Examples (Best Effort):
- Contact form submissions: deleted within 3 months
- Brevo mailing list: retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion
